Chapter 2 introduction of characters

We learn each about each character that will be staying at the house. The first is Eleanor Vance. She is miserable and hates her mother, but she's dead. Therefore, she hates her sister, brother-in-law and her 5 year old niece. She cant remember a time that she was a genuinely happy person.Theodora was  the complete opposite of Eleanor. Theodora's world was full of delight and soft colors. She is accepting Dr. Montague's invitation because she and her roommate had gotten into a quarrel. Luke Sanderson was a liar and thief. His aunt, the owner of Hill House praises him, like he is an angel. The end of the chapter states that one day he will inherit Hill House, but he had never actually planned on living in it.
